Carl Vilhelm "Willy" Bille was a Danish painter, known for his maritime motifs, still lifes, and landscapes, especially scenes from Copenhagen. He was originally self-taught, but later became a student of his father, Vilhelm Bille, and studied from 1928 at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and in Paris. His paintings were influenced by French Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. Willy Bille participated in many exhibitions, including those at Charlottenborg, and received prizes such as the Carlson Prize in 1925 and the Lis Jacobsen Prize in 1930.
