Vintage Sundo Barometer with Thermometer. Germany, late part of the 20th Century Round barometer in decorative wood with brass details, originally sold through Optiker Pløger on Amagerbrogade in Copenhagen. The barometer is used to measure atmospheric air pressure and predict the weather forecast. It measures the weight of the air to indicate whether the weather will improve (high pressure) or worsen (low pressure). Low air pressure (often indicating turbulent or rainy weather) High air pressure (often indicating clear and dry weather).
