Vintage round Barometer. Denmark, mid 20. Century Round barometer in mahogany-finished wooden frame with brass hanging ring and brass lunette. Barometer is used to measure the atmospheric air pressure and forecast the weather. Measures the weight of the air to indicate whether the weather will be better (high pressure) or worse (low pressure). Low air pressure (often indicates turbulent or rainy weather) High air pressure (often indicates clear and dry weather).
