Nepalese kukri-knife in steel, with handle in wood with brass fittings. Complete with original scabbard in black bejested leather equipped with a dagger (Karda) and a whetstone (Chakmak) which is traditionally used by the Gurkha people. According to tradition among the Gurkha people, the knife is supposed to be so sharp that it can behead a goat with a single strike. Kukri knives and swords are the national emblem of Nepal, and are used both as weapons and as a general-purpose tool. The knife's characteristic curved design makes it ideal for slashing.
