Vintage Star Sign Barometer. Mid 20. century Round barometer in brass with decorative ring featuring the 12 star signs, mounted in a dark wood frame with twisted hanging chain. The barometer is used to measure the atmospheric air pressure and forecast the weather. Measures the weight of the air to indicate whether the weather will improve (high pressure) or deteriorate (low pressure). Low air pressure (often indicates turbulent or rainy weather) High air pressure (often indicates clear and dry weather).
