Painted on canvas in loose, vigorous brushstrokes with a muted palette of ochre, grey, and brown nuances. The motif shows a street corner in Helsingør's old town with half-timbered houses and pointed gables, while Sankt Olai Church's tower and roof rise in the background. Two small figurines can be discerned in the street scene to the right.

Framed in a gilded wood frame.

Ove Carl Svenson was a Danish/Swedish painter and lithographer (1880-1976), trained by Niels Vinding Dorph and exhibited at Charlottenborg from 1908. He specialized in architectural painting and sold works, including to the Danish royal household.
