Painted on canvas in loose, forceful brushwork with a muted palette of ochre, grey, and brown tones. The motif depicts a street corner in Elsinore's old town with timber-framed houses and pointed gables, while St. Olai Church's tower and roof rise in the background. Two small figurines are glimpsed in the street scene to the right.

Framed in a gilded wood frame.

Ove Carl Svenson was a Danish/Swedish painter and lithographer (1880-1976), trained by Niels Vinding Dorph and exhibited at Charlottenborg from 1908. He specialized in architectural painting and sold works, among others, to the Danish royal family.
