SIDE 2.
FREDERIC D.6. by the grace of God King of Denmark, the Wends and the Goths; Duke of Slesvic, Holsten &c. We have been asked by Our Academy for painting, sculpture and architecture, with great humility, to confirm the privileges and gifts that have previously been granted to the academy, at the time of our accession to the throne. We have considered this with the care that we take from an institution founded and encouraged by Our ancestors of great memory, and with the wish to see both art and science flourish in our lands, the ordinances that have been observed by the aforementioned academy, added rules, modifications and subsequent changes, as, given the circumstances and the spirit of the century, we believed to be necessary and useful for adding to its glory and prosperity.
SIDE 32.
§. 124.All artists and students at the academy will be exempt from military service while they study there.
§. 125.The same applies to academy staff, including models, if they are engaged for life.
§. 126.These models as well as the servants who are employed in the schools' service will from now on, just like the models previously, wear our court's small livery.
