Double-edged traditional Kinjal dagger from Dagestan located in the Caucasus region. The blade is made of high-quality steel and is adorned with many aesthetic engravings. Among other things, it reads in Cyrillic letters: “it has 2 eggs and both can add pain and death to the enemy. One is love the other makes weak”.
The hilt is made of leather-clad wood, lined with velvet and reinforced with chrome-plated metal hardware.

Provenance: The dagger was given as a gift to Colonel Søren Bo Jacobsen in 2008, given to him by three German-speaking military attaché colleagues; a German general, a Swiss colonel, and the Austrian defense attaché - in connection with his departure as defense attaché in Moscow. All three are also mentioned in engravings on the blade.

Søren Bo Bojesen started his military career in 1974 and became second lieutenant in 1976 with Russian as his specialty. He served in several units, including the Royal Life Guard, and was later promoted to colonel. In 2000, he was selected for General Staff courses in Russia, as the only Danish officer since 1917, which led to a role as defense attaché in Moscow from 2003-2008. Stationed in Stettin 2008-2013. Afghanistan 2010. After military service, he was private secretary to Prince Joachim and Princess Marie and later estate manager at Aastrup Gods.
