The Goddess Laxmi is a statue made of copper that has been gilded and oxidized. The jewelry is mounted on the statue. The statue is also painted in the face and hair. Dimensions: approximately 16x19x7.5 cm. Stand: see images. History: Laxmi is primarily known as a Hindu goddess. However, she is also highly revered in Tibetan Buddhism. Laxmi is primarily recognized as a Hindu goddess. She is, however, also highly esteemed in Tibetan Buddhism. She is also known as Pal Lhamo (Shri Lakshmi). She is said to be a peaceful manifestation of Shri Devi Dudsolma, the primary female guardian of Tibetan Buddhism and Lhasa, Tibet. She is not the same as Shri Devi Magzor Gyalmo, the wrathful manifestation of Sarasvati, who rides on a mule and has a face and two arms. Shri Lakshmi's artworks are often associated with the Gelug tradition within Tibetan Buddhism and are expected to have originated after the 17th century. Various titles, including Laxmi, Mahalakshmi, Padmavati, Shri, and Bhoodevi, among others, are known as Lakshmi. She is one of the aspects of feminine cosmic energy that symbolizes 'rajas' or the element of fertility, wealth, prosperity, well-being, glory, and beauty in the phenomenal universe. This statue is perfect for sacred spaces or as a spiritual gift that brings blessings, success, and auspicious energy into the home or altar. Hollows in the base (often closed by a plate) may contain relics or consecration texts; it makes the figure a sacred object rather than just a decorative sculpture. This figurine originates from the Himalayan region (Tibet, Nepal, and China).
