Hans Stiil. Modernistisk Axella table lamp. From the 1970s. Vintage large stoneware table lamp in raw modernist style, on top rests a large matching large screen with plant print. About the artist: “Niels Stiil is a Danish ceramic artist, who together with his wife, Mette Løkken Stiil, founded Stiil Stoneware in 1972 in Tranum, Denmark. Their workshop was active until 2002 and was known for their unique stoneware work, including lamps and functional art with a distinctive brutalism-inspired design. Many of their works are decorated with abstract ornaments and have a raw, handmade aesthetics that reflects the style of the time.” Source: keramiksignatur.dk.
