Painted on canvas in a loose, vigorous brush stroke with rich, vibrant color layers. The motif shows a richly composed bouquet of anemones in white, lilac, red, and light red with dark centers, arranged in a blue vase with a gold-decorated zig-zag pattern along the edge. The bouquet is placed on a dark wooden platter against a subdued, grey-brown background.

Signed “Knüppel”. Framed in a gilded wooden frame.
