Painted on canvas in a loose, expressive brush stroke with rich, full color layers. The subject depicts a richly composed bouquet of anemones in pink, white, red, and light red with dark centers, arranged in a blue vase with a gold-decorated zig-zag pattern along the edge. The bouquet is placed on a dark wooden plank against a subdued, grey-brown background.
