Painted on canvas in a loose, vigorous brush stroke with rich color fields. The motif shows a richly composed bouquet of anemones in red, white, light red and purple with dark centers, arranged in a blue glass vase with a facet-cut pattern. The bouquet is placed on a dark wooden board against a subdued, grey-brown background.

Signed “Knüppel”. Framed in a gilded wood frame.
