Painted on canvas in a loose, vigorous brush stroke with rich colour layers. The motif shows a richly composed bouquet of anemones in red, white, light red and purple with dark centres, arranged in a blue bowl with a gold-decorated zig-zag pattern along the edge. The bouquet is placed on a dark wooden board against a subdued, grey-brown background.

Signed “Knüppel”. Framed in a gilded wood frame.
