The Kongemose and Ertebølle cultures existed in Denmark around 6400–4000 B.C. Humans were hunters, fishermen, and gatherers. They used flint and stone axes for woodworking and boat building. The Ertebølle people also made ceramics, although they were not yet genuine farmers.
