Old Iraqi Khanjar dagger in Sterling silver with 18 K gold inlays. 20th Century

Lightly curved steel blade, hilt and scabbard in sterling silver, decorated on the front with engraved rope motif in niello, as well as inlaid medallions in 18+ karat gold, featuring motifs of e.g. sailing ships (dhow) and palm trees. The back is smooth and undecorated. The scabbard has two loops with orange cord, scoop-shaped tip and red tassel. Stamped on the back.
