Ingolf Knak (b.1945-2012.) Vintage teak viking. Danish design, from the 1960s/70s. Produced by Jørgensens Kunst Industri. Danish design Viking figure, designed in classic minimalist Danish design. Sold in Danish souvenir shops and some were exported to the USA in the 1960s/70s. The name teak viking comes from the fact that most of the wood used is teak in these Vikings from this period, however, there are several types of wood, as teak at some point becomes too expensive , however, there are several types of wood, metal parts & fur. Provenance: Comes from a souvenir & tobacco shop that was located in Frederiksberg in the 1970s. Dimensions: approx. 7.7x6x6 cm. (model photo) Several are available. The figures are handmade and vary slightly. Condition: no flaws, however they have signs of age.
