About the artist:

Oluf Jensen (1871-1934) was a Danish artist, best known for his work at the Royal Porcelain Factory, where he was head of the Underglaze Department. He was a skilled watercolor painter, and his motifs were often flowers, which he rendered in great detail and meticulousness. In addition to porcelain, Oluf Jensen also made graphic works, including etchings with floral and botanical motifs, such as “Erantis” from 1915. His flower paintings are known for their beauty and precision, and he has contributed significantly to Danish handicrafts and graphics.
