Mogens Frederik Larsen (1885-1953). Etching of Peter Liep's house in Dyrehaven, near Copenhagen, from the beginning of the 1900s. Signed: MFLarsen. This is an original etching. Mounted in an older gold-painted wooden frame and glass. About the artist: Mogens Frederik Larsen (MF Larsen) was educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, from 1906 to 1911. He studied under professors such as Otto Bache and Julius Exner, both of whom were prominent artists and teachers at the academy. Here Larsen received a thorough education in painting and graphics, which formed the foundation for his career as an artist, especially in the art of etching. Larsen was known for his detailed and technically skilled works, which often depicted landscapes, architecture and urban environments. His etchings were appreciated for their precision and aesthetic quality, and he contributed significantly to Danish graphic art in the first half of the 20th century. he was awarded the prestigious Eckersberg Medal in 1927.
