Heinz Kanst (b.1928-2003.) color etching of the Rothenberg gate in Plonlein, Germany, from the mid-1900s. Mounted in a white and gold painted wooden frame and glass. About the artist: Heinz Kanst was a German graphic artist and painter who lived from 1928 to 2003. He was particularly known for his etchings, which often depicted everyday scenes and landscapes in a realistic style. Kanst studied graphics at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart from 1947 to 1952. After his studies, he settled in Ludwigsburg, where he worked as a freelance artist and taught graphics. Kanst exhibited his works at numerous solo exhibitions in Germany and participated in several group exhibitions internationally.
