Hans Stiil. Modernist Axella table lamp. From the 1970s. Vintage large stoneware table lamp in a raw modernist style, on top rests a large beautiful contemporary large shade with plant print. About the artist: “ Niels Stiil is a Danish ceramist who, together with his wife, Mette Løkken Stiil, founded Stiil Stentøj in 1972 in Tranum, Denmark. Their workshop was active until 2002 and was known for their unique stoneware work, including lamps and applied art with a distinctive brutalist-inspired design. Many of their works are decorated with abstract ornaments and have a raw, handmade aesthetic that reflects the style of the time.” Source: keramiksignatur.dk. Here in a rare collaboration with Axella. Dimensions approx.: 40 x 35 x 20 cm. Condition: see pictures.
