FREDERIC D.6. by the grace of God King of Denmark, the Vandals and the Goths; Duke of Schleswig, Holstein &c. know how to do: That Our Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture have very humbly requested Us, upon Our accession to the throne, to confirm the privileges and graces which have been previously granted to the Academy, We have considered, with the care which we take from an institution founded and encouraged by Our ancestors of glorious memory, and with the desire to see the arts as well as sciences flourish in our lands, the regulations which have hitherto been observed by the said Academy, adding such rules, modifications and subsequent changes as, given the circumstances and the spirit of the century, We thought necessary and useful to add to its glory and prosperity.

§. 124. All artists and students at the academy will be exempt from military service while studying there.

§ 125. The same applies to academy employees, among whom are models, if they are committed for life.

§. 126. These models, as well as the servants employed in the service of the schools, will henceforth, like the models heretofore, wear the small clothing of our court.
